Instructions for registering and using the Software Center
1.  Submit email address to instructor.

You should get an email from the MSDNAA Software Center (once the instructor has submitted your email)

Note : You may either purchase software from the MSDNAA SOftware center OR checkout software.

Software Center: If you do forget your password, click on >> Forgot Password?

2.  Decide which software program you would like to acquire.

3.  Make sure that your computer is functional and ready to accept an install of the software.

4.  Install updates or service packs before acquiring software.

5.  When you are ready to request software:

-Read and print the CIS department policy page from this site.

-Connect to the Software Center link  (located at the bottom of the policy page)

-Login with your email address as your user name

-Type the password that you were sent via email from Software Center

  • Search for the software you want. Notice you will get the software by CD checkout and it is free. Read the MSDN academic alliance (Software Center) license policy

-Continue through screens and print the Results page showing the OEM number

6.  Bring both printed pages to building 29-205 during opening times: print the CIS department policy page and printed page with OEM Number.

 

Times for CDROM checkout are

     MW 6:00-7:00pm    TTH 12:00-1:00pm   Room 29-204

NOTE:  If you choose to CHECK out software, you must return the cdrom and CANNOT later purchase the same title. You may either purchase or check out software. NOT Both.

Software CD’s must be returned within 48 hours.
