SPECIALIST

Data Recovery/Forensics Specialist program and you will learn the practical

The Data Recovery/Forensics
Specialist program prepares students for entry-level positions in
data recovery services at businesses, government, and law
enforcement agencies. Experienced teachers help students learn to
perform computer forensics analyses, and to examine how malicious
code behaves on networks.
Data Recovery/Forensics Specialist
program graduates coordinate and implement an organization’s
information security plan. They may hold roles such as data
recovery/forensics specialist or computer security specialist.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Recovery/Forensics Specialists use
hardware and software tools to recover lost or corrupted data from
hard drives and other storage media. They use forensics techniques
to determine the reason for data loss. They may also monitor the
network for security breaches, respond to cyber attacks, and in some
cases, gather data and evidence to be used in prosecuting cyber
crimes.

PROGRAM OPTIONS
Associate
of Applied Science
Graduates will learn specific job
skills as well as communication skills, computational skills,
applied sciences, computer literacy, human relations and social
science. The AAS can be completed in two years with full-time
attendance.
Short Certificate - 25 credits
Certificate programs emphasize preparation in specific job
skills required for entry-level employment.
