"How to" Tips:  Spacing

Sometimes you want to control the spacing between segments of your content. Following are some suggestions:

Indented Text

To create this indented effect, highlight your text and click the "increase indent" icon in the FrontPage menu bar.

Bulleted Items

  • Use the bullet icon in the FrontPage menu bar to start the list

  • To create the next bullet, use the "enter" key

  • To continue the bullet content on the next line,  like this,
hold the "shift" key and hit "enter"

  • If you can't seem to create the bullets the way you want

    • remove the spaces between the sections

    • place your cursor where you want to begin a new bullet

    • hit the "enter" key

General Spacing Effects

  • Every hit on the "enter" key will create a blank line and a new line for text. Use the "enter" key to create space between paragraphs.

  • Word wrap will automatically cause text to flow from one line to the next, like this.

  • Hold the "shift" key and hit "enter" to generate
"just the next line" of text, like this.

  • You can use the space bar to move text to the left,       like this,        but try to use this technique sparingly.
