About Our Program
A Unique Approach
An integral part of the Highline Graphic Production Program is its “live”
shop approach to production along with lecture instruction. Students
enrolled in the program spend an average of 12 hours per week
involved in real world production tasks. While lecture, theory,
research and demonstration form the basis of our coursework, they
are all put to practical application by performing the associated
tasks.
Our program produces over 90 jobs a month ranging from 500
black and white business cards, 1500 120 page full color books, to
75,000 full color postcards. Students get experience in every aspect
of the printing trade from design, prepress, preflight, press, and
bindery to customer service, shop management and printing sales and
marketing. We feel Highline Printing offers the most complete and
well rounded program in the Northwest.
