Our Instructors
The Graphic Production Program has three full-time instructors
with diverse backgrounds enabling a rich classroom experience

Tony is the Graphic Production Program Manager, he joined the
program after over 30 years in the commercial printing industry; 25
years as the owner of printing businesses in California, Idaho and
Washington. A graduate of the San Francisco State University
Graphics Program, he has commercial work experience in all phases of
the trade, from shop management and prepress, to operation of 2, 4
and 5 color sheet fed presses, Web presses, and letterpress and
screen printing. Tony is currently the advanced prepress instructor,
advanced press instructor, as well as teaching the sales and
marketing aspects of the printing business. Additionally, he teaches
Continuing Education classes in “Print Buying ”, “Professional
Desktop Publishing - InDesign/Photoshop”, and industry retraining
classes in Advanced Press & Prepress. In his spare time Tony enjoys
oil painting, and travel to Europe. He is currently working to
develop a study abroad class in Europe touring various historical
print locations.

Dave is a production manager/instructor of the Graphic
Production Program. He has been a member of the staff for the past
twelve years. He has 23 years experience in the printing trade
working at commercial and in-plant shops. Prior to coming to
Highline Community College, he was Printing Services Manager at the
American Heart Association. He holds an Associate in Applied Science
degree in Offset Printing from Highline Community College and a
Bachelor of Science degree in Workforce Education and Development
from Southern Illinois University - Carbondale. In his spare time he
volunteers to coach youth athletics.

Bill has over twenty years experience in the printing,
photographic and graphic arts industries. Bill has worked with
world authorities in developing color management technologies for
the printing industry. He has many years experience both operating
and managing traditional and leading edge graphic imaging
businesses. Currently Bill teaches pre-press, digital photography
and screen printing. Bill has also consulted on color calibration
for print shops, pre-press houses and for major printing companies.
Bill is a graduate of The Evergreen State College. In his spare time
Bill races and builds sailboats.
