The Classes I Teach

I teach many of the Computer Science and Computer Information Systems classes that comprise the CIS Program here at Highline. For most of those classes, I have linked supporting information to the buttons shown above.

Computer Science Classes

The Computer Science classes linked above, are comprised of beginning, intermediate, and advanced level computer programming classes using the Java, Visual Basic, and C++ programming languages.

Our primary goal is to teach you how to think like a programmer and enable you to create well-structured programs using proven program development strategies. You'll learn the programming structures (sequence, selection, iteration) and concepts (simple and complex data types, functions, scope, by reference, by value, etc), and how to implement those structures and concepts into object-oriented, event-driven, programs.

Computer Information Systems Classes

Our Computer Information Systems programs have been developed with the help and collaboration of industry professionals. The Computer Information Systems classes linked above are integral components of the CIS Programs of Microcomputer Support Specialist, Network Specialist, and Client-Server Programmer.
