Writing 105: Research and
Persuasive Writing
"Have
you ever wished you could respond with skill and confidence to an
argument you have read or heard? Have you ever wanted to
present your ideas more forcefully? Te be more logical and
persuasive? To change people's minds?"
Writing 105 has
been designed to develop your writing and communication skills and
enhance your awareness as a critical thinker and reader. Reading and
writing about issues in our culture broadens our interpretive
skills, and our ability to read closely, and ask questions about
what we see and experience and communicate these thoughts clearly in
writing. My name is Stephanie Owings and I will be your
instructor this quarter for Writing 105. Let me know if you have
